10 Things That Make Me Happy | Collab with Life In Kateish

Today is a collab with Kate from Life In Kateish and we decided to share 10 things that make us happy as a way of sharing positivity in a world where loads of people are unhappy.

1. Learning new things

I really like learning things, whether that be at school or in general and I think that is why I love travelling. Exploring a new place and learning new things about places or people appeals to me a lot.

2. Seeing other people happy

It is even better when I have caused the happiness. Something I do could have such an impact on someone else's day and I would love to make it better. You have no idea what someone else is going through.

3. Having a productive day

Running a blog and being in school is very hard work. When I can schedule and plan blog posts and get all my homework done is the best feeling.

4. Doing something really well

Whether that is taking a photo I am proud of, writing a blog post that I love or getting a good result at school, it always makes me happy when I do something good.

5. My friends

My friends always leave me with a smile of my face. They make me feel so valued and appreciated and I hope I make them feel like that too.

6. Looking back at old photos

I find it really nice looking back at old photos and remembering all the memories, so much so that I have a huge photo collage up in my room of loads of photos from places I have been etc.

7. The 'little things'
Hearing leaves crunch, seeing the sun set all the little things like that that really aren't so little after all.

8. Reaching a goal

Recently I hit 20,000 pageviews and it made my day! When I reach a goal, whether it is blogging, school, or personal related, it makes me so happy and proud of myself.

9. Music
I am constantly listening to music! I love it and it always cheers me up

10. This blog

I think that is quite self explanatory!

Fjällräven Kånken Review

For quite a while now, I have been wanting a Fjällräven Kånken and a couple of weeks ago, I found one on Amazon and bought it with some left over Christmas money! I love it so much that I thought I would share it with you give you a little tour!

As I mentioned I bought the bag off of Amazon because the bags on the sight sell for £75 which personally is so much money for a bag! The one I bought on Amazon was slightly cheaper at £58 and I had some vouchers that totalled £35 from Christmas so I used those. Also, the postage and packaging was £4.99 so it was slightly more expensive but it was worth it as it arrived before the expected date which was so nice.

I bought the colour 'Ocean Green' but there are so many other options which you can check out here. I thought that it would be a lot more blue but it is actually quite green and I think I prefer that better now that I have it. The pictures convey the colour really accurately so if you are want to buy one then it is the colour in the pictures!

On the front of the bag there is the logo which is so adorable as well as a rectangular pocket which is quite big. The two handles also connect to the bag at the front. The front bit peels forward so that you can see the whole inside of the bag and there is a divider. On top of the divider thing there is a label where you can write your personal details. On each sides of the bag there is a place to put a water bottle but they aren't that deep so the water bottle would have to be quite slim.

The top top handles can be joined together by a little clip thing and the poppers have the logo on them which is so cute. The back straps originally came 'poppered' to the top of the strap if that makes sense but I had to undo them otherwise it wouldn't fit on my back. Those poppers also have the logo detailing which I love.

I use my bag for school and it is more than enough! I put all my books in the book behind the splitter thing and then my journal, pencil case and calculator in the front. There is so much space so I am planning to use it as a carry on bag later this year so I will update you on that!

Blogging Process

For people who aren't bloggers, blogging can seem like quite a simple thing. When I have said to my mum (who knows about my blog) I have to write a post and it will take me so long, she says surely it only takes 10mins. I am a perfectionist, and I take so long in creating a blog post! Other bloggers will know that it isn't just about the writing but also the photos and editing and formatting and promoting as well! This is why I have decided to share my blogging process so I can compare to other bloggers and show other people what I do and how long it takes!

I created a video to show my process of creating the blog post 'Hot Chocolate Mug Cake' which was a blog post I wrote back in October. This footage is actually when I took it and then I just spend it up and edited together.

Taking the photos
Usually, I take the photos before I write the post, especially in winter as there is only a small amount of time of good lighting. As you can see in the video, it took me quite a while for this particular post but sometimes it takes less time. If it is a flat lay, I can spend ages moving all the items tiny amounts to make the photo perfect! For the mug cake post though, it was a photo of my holding a mug so I alternated location and also what I was wearing.

Editing the photos

Writing the post
When it comes to writing the post, I usually write whatever I can think of, then go through and edit everything towards the end. If the post requires research or a recipe, this is when I will google everything. After, I will add the photos, make things different colour, add links etc. This is when I also add the label. I also preview the post before I publish it to see how it looks. I always write blog posts on my laptop because I find the blogger app so hard to use. The last thing I do in the writing part is schedule my post for the correct day and time and then I publish them.

Promoting the post

I always find this bit the hardest because I always forget! I normally try to post a picture on my Instagram and schedule tweets on Twitter using buffer which I find so useful! I am so busy with school that being able to schedule tweets is so handy. I am also starting to use Instagram stories more so watch out for that too.
