Blogger Recognition Award

A couple of weeks ago, I was nominated by BakingBoutique for the Blogger recognition award. Let's get started!
The rules:
• Compose a post to showcase your award.
• Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you.
•Present a brief story,based on why you had begun blogging.
•Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
• (the hardest part) Nominate 15 other bloggers for the blog.
On my about page, I said "I started writing this blog in May 2015 because I kept finding myself in situations where I had so many thoughts bottled up and I needed to write about them.". Looking back at when I started, I think it is lots more than that. I use this blog as a creative outlet. I love the writing process and designing everything.
1. Don't be afraid to branch out of your niche
A lot of bloggers that I know are fashion and beauty and that is totally okay! However, I don't wear makeup and I am not really into fashion so I used to think that noone would want to read my blog. I used to write posts that I wasn't interesting in to be seen as a fashion blogger, like the "lookbooks". I now write posts that I want to and am interested in. Don't be afraid to write posts that don't fit into a category, you don't have to be labelled if you don't want to be!
2. Numbers aren't everything
Try and avoid the 'stats' page on your blog, and if you do look, try not to be disheartened. Every single blogger started with 0 views, 0 comments and 0 followers. You are able to grow just like they were and it might take a while at first but that is okay!

I love this post! I agree how a lot of bloggers post about fashion and makeup and that you post about your hobbies and interests.
