Satsuma body butter review

For my birthday, I got gifted the Satsuma body butter from The Body Shop. After 2 months of trying it, I thought I would write a review and share my opinions and thoughts on it with you guys. 


The butter says on the front that it is for 'normal' skin (if there even is such thing). I think I have dry - normal skin but this worked well on me. The butter is white and has a heavy consistency but I didn't have to rub it in that much to make it sink into my skin. It is very moisturising, I usually put it on at night and my legs are still soft and moisturised in the morning. A little goes a long way which hopefully means that the tub will last me a while!

The body butter contains satsuma oil which makes it smell really orange-y and fresh .However, there is as underlying artificial smell which I don't like. My favourite scents are citrus ones and fresh ones so this disappointed me slightly. 
Overall, I would really recommend trying out a Body Shop body butter. If you don't like the smell of this one, The Body Shop have a while range of body butters in various scents (mango, coconut, raspberry etc) so there is bound to be one that you will like. They all have the same consistency and are really moisturising. I would definitely buy another body butter from there but perhaps with a different scent.

    I've never tried anything from The Body Shop, but people seem to rave about the body butters! I have dry skin, so hopefully this'll work for me as well as it did for you. I'd be interested in the mango or coconut scents, personally. x

    I've used a few Body Shop Body Butters and they are just heavenly! I would love to get the Satsuma Body Butter but I'm not sure what it smells like. Kind of citrus-y I'm assuming? Hehe <3

    I've personally never tried a body shop body butter yet but have heard people rave about them so feel I will pick one up with my money soon because I really want to try them! Great post once again Laura! I loved it!

    i was kinda scared to try body skin body butter since they smell very strong (not in a bad way) and i have sensitive:( it is lovely to hear you like it:)

    I've tried the "Mango-scented" body butter and I'm pretty sure there had been a grapefruit scent which I had tried.

    Though my favourite, hands down, is the coconut scented one. It's particularly moisturising on my skin and has a soft, delicious scent. I'm surprised I haven't eaten any of them!

    I went to The Body Shop but the people working there were so over me I got stressed and left! I might go back though, see what happens this time. The body butter sounds great!
