14 Quick ways to change up your blog

17:00

Recently, I completely changed my blog design and I loved the whole process of it. Even before it, I loved adding little things to my blog and changing it around. I feel like the whole 'new year, new me' idea can definitely be applied to a blog design. If you are looking to change your blog up, sometimes its hard to know where to get started and just how to do it.
1. Change your blog header - You can use on online site like Picmonkey or Canva to create your blog header or you could use photoshop!

2. Swap your widgets around or add a new one

3. Remove the "Subscribe to Post Atom" message at the bottom of the page - You can do this by deleting this in your HTML : <  b:include data='feedLinks' name='feedLinksBody'  /  >

4. Change the colour scheme

5. Declutter your post footer - Do this by going to layout then blog posts. (on blogger)

6. Create (or update) your about page and/or contact page

7. Update old blog posts - take new photos or check links!

8. Respond to comments

9. Add a hover effect to some of your images - here is a tutorial

10. Check links work - especially if you have changed your @ name

11. Add a favicon - Do this by going to Layout then Favicon (on blogger)

12. Download a free template and apply it to your blog!

13. Add more white space for a cleaner look

14. Customise your post header - tutorial here

  5. updating your about me page is always a good idea :) I think it's such an important page on a blog & often the one people click one the most. Since we all change so much as we grow there are always little adaptions to be made. This actually just reminded me that I need to update mine too! x

  7. Hello, Laura!

I have been searching for a really long time for somebody else who is a feminist, and now I have found your beautiful blog! My name is Anael and I have started my own blog recently, but I am really struggling for readers, and I was wondering if you could check out my blog and perhaps recommend it to some of your readers/friends so I could get some more readers if you have some time. Well done on your fabulous blog!

  13. Amazing tips Laura! I changed my blog theme like 2 months ago and to be honest not only I had fun doing it but it also increased the traffic. Another thing that helped me was creating my own logo, so people can start recognize me as a brand.
